Where do people get this idea that *all* Americans, or even a majority of Americans agree with these ideas. What you have are very conservative Americans agreeing with these ideas, a whole lot of confused Americans (when I speak to "average" Americans about these things, they're thoughts are usually something similar to, "I think we SHOULD have healthcare for everyone, but how can we afford it when we already have a trillion dollar debt?" I think what often happens is a lot of people have these thoughts, and when they go to vote they still haven't decided and make the decision on the spot. Of course, there are still some things that blow my mind (the hate on gays for example, ESPECIALLY by the Mormons).
